New Zealand Schist

Formed deep beneath the Southern Alps and shaped by tectonic pressure over millions of years, New Zealand schist carries an unmistakable link to its place of origin. Its natural foliation creates distinctive layers and variation that can't be replicated.

New Zealand limestone

Formed from ancient marine deposits laid down when much of New Zealand sat beneath shallow seas, our local limestone offers a softness and depth unique to its origin. Over time, tectonic uplift brought these layers to the surface, where they weathered into the stone you see today.

New Zealand
volcanic stone

Forged by volcanic activity along the Pacific Ring of Fire, New Zealand's volcanic stone reflects the movement and energy of the land itself. These dense, textured stones formed as molten rock cooled and hardened — bold in character and a reminder of our fiery past.

Fall for it.

The best way to know if a stone is right is to hold it in your hands — the weight, the texture, the things a photograph can't quite capture.

Explore the range

Why go lightweight?

Our lightweight cladding delivers the beauty of natural stone with less material, making it compatible with a wider range of projects and applications — either as a total solution or alongside solid stone masonry.

Reduced structural requirements

Lightweight cladding requires less foundation, structural, and engineering work — reducing time, cost, and complexity on site.

Ideal for working to height

Particularly well suited for anything above 3 metres — where reduced weight lowers structural demands and makes installation more practical.

Suited to a range of sites

For sites where the ground stability won’t support the weight of solid masonry, lightweight stone cladding is a viable option. Where space is tight, it takes less room. And for steep, sloping sections, lightweight cladding is easier to work with.

Cost-effective to transport

Less weight means lower freight costs — making it just as practical to bring South Island schist north as North Island limestone south.

Environmental benefits

Sustainably extracted, locally sourced, and domestically freighted — with reduced material use and transport efficiencies built in.

Space saving

When the interior footprint is limited, lightweight cladding opens up the possibility of natural stone in hallways, entrances, and other areas where every centimetre counts.

Complete the look

Thoughtful stone detailing can enhance a cladding project and give it a more architectural feel. We fashion the features that do exactly that: capping, sills, lintels, recessed light fittings that sit seamlessly in the wall, and more.

We also supply stone at any depth the project requires — from lightweight cladding through to full solid masonry.

The result is a fully integrated natural stone solution across the entire project.

Trusted hands, start to finish

Natural stone cladding is only as good as the people who install it. We've built strong relationships with the best in the business and are happy to help — whether you want a direct introduction or full coordination. Either way, we're just a phone call away at any stage of the process.
